Are you a chocolate fanatic? Great! You are going to love this article.

After much research conducted by the University of Ghana’s Department of Nutrition and Food Science, there is now a healthier and more delicious to consume chocolate! That’s right, there is a healthy version of chocolate that actually taste good. It sounds too good to be true, but get ready to pinch yourself!

It turns out that dark chocolate has a property called “polyphenols,” which is an antioxidant that is also found in red wine and green tea. This antioxidant has been linked to prevent cancer and heart disease. However, when cocoa is converted into chocolate a lot of the polyphenols are lost in the process. Even though eating or drinking these items could help you they will not necessarily prevent diseases such as cancer and heart complications.

To combat the loss of polyphenols that are lost in the process of making chocolate, Professor Emmanuel Afoakwa and his team learned that there is a ways to make adjustments during the storing process to keep as many antioxidants in it as possible. Sounds amazing, right? The best thing is these techniques will soon be used globally. So, get ready to eat a lot of chocolate! Remember, it will be good for you!
